The V(I)llage: Leadership & Culture

A two semester learning community

  • Learn to be an activist, negotiate racial identities, and navigate racism
  • Utilize your holistic identities (e.g. Black,Queer, Male) to enhance leadership contributions, and activism practices
  • Create a community activism project designed to bridge knowledge gaps between academe and needs of people of color throughout Salt Lake City
  • Be successful taking 15 credit hours per semester
  • Complete most or all of your General Education requirements
  • Have great instructors
  • Access to peer mentors, students success advocates, a librarian and an advisor
  • Get a certificate on your transcript
  • Become a member of an inclusive cohort model
